Six Mile Pub + Eatery $$
494 Island Hwy, Victoria - V9B 1H5
Cuisines: Pubs
Customer's reviews..
Lovely pub, reminds me of old London!. The size of food definitely UK size , not American -pretty tiny but good!
I really liked this place! I went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty. The service was great, and very quick. The food was delicious, one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I sat on the patio and there was a beautiful view of the river, flowers down below, and lots of hummingbirds to watch. There are some billiard tables, pull tabs, a bar top, overall just a good time! I will definitely be back.

Cuisines: Pubs
Customer's reviews..
Stopped in for a quick bite on our way back from a hike. Super nice little pub with even nicer staff. Really enjoyed stopping hereMy friend really enjoyed their Moscow monk
Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience here tonight. Our family spent a lovely afternoon at Wittys Lagoon, and arived tired, hungry and thirsty - perfect customers. While they were nice about it, they asked us to leave because of our child after we were seated. Never heard of rules like this before, and we left tired, hungry and thirsty. With a 6 year old we would have been in and out in 45min. We will never return.

Customer's reviews..
Excellent beer selection, tasty snacks, comfortable atmosphere and fantastic service by Hannah! Friggen right on!
This is a very pleasant pub to stop by for a beer and bite if you're wanting about the area. They have a wide array of adult beverages that should please consumers of every variety. Service was excellent: attentive and friendly. I found their poutine and fried fish particularly delicious, but I'll admit that their meatloaf looked amazing, and I'm not a big meatloaf fan.

Bard & Banker
1022 Government St, Victoria - V8W 1X7
Cuisines: Pubs
Customer's reviews..
Beautiful pub in middle of downtown, worth a visit. They have live music as well. I love the classic interior of this bar, I hope they keep it that way. Children are not allowed after 9pm and they run a short menu at that time. They have whiskey flights which I recommend! When Ibdrink whiskey, it's usually just one or two different ones. With theur flight, you can really compare and smell/taste the difference. Of course being a pub, their fried stuff was good. We had cauliflower which came with interesting spices
Had a great time watching the 2022 Champions League Finals here (sorry Scousers!)Despite how busy it was, the servers were courteous and proficient!Love the fact that they have a beer blend. I've never seen anything like that anywhere I have been and it was just what the doctor ordered. The food was quite good too.All in all a great pub with great food, drink, atmosphere, and service.

Cuisines: Pubs Burgers Canadian
Customer's reviews..
I absolutely need to rave about Sam! She is brand new to browns social house at the uptown location. I have been going to browns for a long time and this is the only server who has left a mark on my experience! She is such an asset to their team. Highly recommend!
Place is gorgeous! Location is central. Clean restaurant washroom. Delicious food.So why the three stars? It's because most of the servers had their hair down. Old school I may be but our server's long hair was almost touching my food. Yes, I know I won't die of dirty hair but hasn't anyone taken Food Safe Certificate?

Bartholomew's Public House $$
777 Douglas St, Victoria - V8W 2B5
Cuisines: Pubs
Customer's reviews..
This was our first visit even though we’ve lived in Greater Victoria for over 20 years. The food and service was great but the restaurant felt a bit unmemorable. It seemed to have a strong following of patrons for the music bingo.
Great place to have a drink and food. Service was good, which seems hard to find post Covid. The balcony was nice, only downfall was the construction next door. But can’t blame them for that! Has become my favourite pub in Victoria.

Christie's Carriage House Pub $$
1739 Fort St, Victoria - V8R 1J2
Cuisines: Pubs Gastropubs
Customer's reviews..
After viewing an apartment on Friday last week I came on google Maps to find the nearest pub to the location I was in at the time.Well Christie’s Carriage House Pub was it.I am so glad it did.I went on and was greeted by Amanda who then became my waitress. She’s was fantastic.I was hungry so I decided to have a look at the menu.Since moving to the island the option of wild salmon ? or Halibut burgers are on nearly all of the menus I’ve seen.I went with the wild salmon burger with a side Caesar salad. All I can say is OMG.What a fantastic meal/ piece of fish/ burger. Not to mention how excellent the staff and Terry the bartender are.So if you’re ever in the neighbourhood or just looking for a great spot to have a few beverages and a great meal do yourself a favour and pop in to Christie’s.Tell them Dino sent you.Cheers ?
Overall a good neighbourhood pub. I've been going to Christie's on and off for a long time and it's been very consistent. The food is better than average for a pub and the menu is exactly what you would expect. A uniquely nice touch is their beer list is grouped by type (lager/ale/IPA..) which I found helpful.Pricing is where they lost some points.. Post pandemic all the burgers are sitting close to 20$ or more and Wings are almost 20$ a lb which is a little steep. On a final note the semi-outdoor area has been very well upgraded and is well heated for offseason enjoyment. I'll be back!

Browns Socialhouse Victoria BC $$
809 Douglas St, Victoria - V8W 2B9
Cuisines: Pubs Burgers Canadian
Customer's reviews..
Although the food was ok, I tried to order online to pick it up myself and it wouldn't work because apparently there was suspicious activity from IP addresses from the hotel I was at. So I tried to call the restaurant directly but couldn't talk directly to someone so had to use Skip. Food took an hour to get here even though we were 2 minutes walk to the restaurant. Ordered a full order of pasta but only got a half portion. It was cold, the bread was cold, and only got one mushroom for the extra $2.50 to add mushrooms. No parmesancheese. So not worth it.
Perfect for a spot to enjoy food, music & good atmosphere

The chicken pretzel sandwich, the badass burger, and the steak salad are all delicious! Good gluten free substitutions, including gluten free fries (and they don't charge a hefty amount like most restaurants do for the gluten free substitutes)
Well I've only been to this place a couple of times, most recently for breakfast at lunchtime and it was perfect! It was obvious the cook cared about what he was putting out. Best breakfast I've ever had in a restaurant and when I got the bill it was $7.50! What? Also inexpensive tasty drinks! Will be back and telling everyone!

McRae's Restaurant Ltd $$
1652 McRae Ave, Victoria - V8P 1H3
Cuisines: Bistros American Pubs
Customer's reviews..
Would only ever come back for a drink. Low quality food at a higher cost. Sloppy and greasy.
This is my neighborhood pub and we always go there. But... Last week I took my friend there and it was his first time so I was very happy to introduce one of my favorite restaurants to him... We ordered a bottle of prosecco. That was cold and tasty.. We ordered the Korean Cauliflower and salt & pepper chicken wings with bluecheese and Thai sweet sauce. The drama started there :) Korean Cauliflower was mushy not crispy, the sauce was too much and it made the Cauliflower like a puree. Salt and pepper wings was tasteless. I had to ask for real salt and pepper to add. There was literally no salt or pepper. Thai sweet, was so funny. I don't know the reason but they put sourcream in the sauce! Bluecheese sauce had no blue cheese in it. :) I had to send them back thinking they brought the wrong sauces and asked the waitress to bring a regular Thai sweet without sourcream in it. She brought another blue cheese sauce but it was the same. Long story short, we left most of the food on our plates, finished the prosecco and went somewhere else for dinner. I don't think I will go again for food. That was a sad experience.

Great place for a drink and a live show. The band that night was fantastic. I didn't grab any food (I have been here before its been years), but the service was ok and the prices good. Would recommend.
The burger was so sub par I asked the waitress if they were made with frozen patties. She said no - but really, if you want a burger, you'd be better off making it at home! Also, the nacho "cheese" has a reputation for being bad.Service was excellent!

The Snug Pub $$
1175 Beach Dr, Victoria - V8S 2N2
Cuisines: Pubs
Customer's reviews..
The Snug pub used to be an English-style genuine pub, with pub food. It had a great friendly cozy atmosphere. The owners decided to tear it down and put up something much more upscale. So now it's a very expensive dining room, nothing SNUG about it. The food is so-so. Definitely NOT worth it.
We stopped here for drinks on our bike ride around Victoria. Great service and great drinks, spectacular views of Mt. Baker over the water!

The Bent Mast $$
512 Simcoe St, Victoria - V8V 1L8
Cuisines: Pubs Burgers
Customer's reviews..
We live in the neighborhood and try to go here regularly (weekly) to support it. But service is just consistently terrible and we have finally decided we won't be back. There doesn't seem to be any process around how they wait tables. "I'm not your server" passes by regularly. Doesn't appear to be a shortage issue, just an attitude issue. 3 different servers today and Dishes and empty glasses sit for way too long before anyone clears them or asks if you need something else. The manager is a grouchy woman, always a sour face. Always seems annoyed to have to wait on people. Didn't even know the happy hour menu when we asked and seemed annoyed tba she had to go check on it. Lately the burger quality is terrible too, used to be so good.
Fantastic patio, drink and food selection, and really good service. Definitely a hit with the locals! The only thing that might be an issue of concern is that the only bathroom's I am aware of are upstairs, and I don't know of there is anything downstairs available for those with mobility issues.

James Bay Inn Restaurant $$
270-C, Government St, Victoria - V8V 2L2
Cuisines: Pubs
Customer's reviews..
Overall quite disappointed. The atmosphere was nice but the food was not. Chowder looked and tasted like Campbell's chunky soup, ceasar salad was from a bag and the food had hair in it. The service was fine but I would definitely not recommend this place for dinner or lunch. There are so many similarly priced places around here that this one is not worth wasting your time on.
Went Saturday for the first time with 2 friends. Waitress was the rudest I've ever seen, she definitely shouldn't be serving patrons. She thought we were tourists and not her regulars. Will definitely never go back. Food was meh, decor dated but place was clean. Definitely spend your money elsewhere. Bill was $200. We were still nice enough to give her 10% tips but she deserved none.

I do love 5th street and order from here all the time. I do recommend it except last night we ordered through skip and they forgot our pizza. I was charged for it and while I did get a refund in skip credits, I think the option to have my credit card refunded would have been nice as well. but all in all a great place

Customer's reviews..
The dine around menu is an excellent value. Will go again.
Sadly the food was not up to previous visits. The dry porks ribs were ok but the seafood pasta was bland and greasy. My table mate did enjoy his bread less steak sandwich, but it didn’t come with the cheese as ordered. The staff however were top notch. In short ambiance and staff are great but the kitchen output needs some work.

The Drake Eatery
517 Pandora Ave, Victoria - V8W 1N6
Cuisines: Tapas/Small Plates Pubs Canadian
Customer's reviews..
Great selection of local craft beer. The 2 cheese porter dip is amazing.
The Drake has become our favourite Victoria craft beer eatery. We've been several times this year and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, the location is great with a nice covered patio. They have an interesting selection of craft beers on tap. What really distinguishes the Drake though is the great food. These type of places typically have boring bar food, the food we've had at the Drake wouldn't be out of place at a nice restaurant. As well as the usual pub fare they have unusual choices like duke confit and a lentil dish - both taste great.Highly recommended

The Loft Pub $
229 Gorge Rd E, Victoria - V9A 1L1
Cuisines: Pubs Sports Bar Karaoke
Customer's reviews..
Great pub for getting together with friends and watching a live band
The bands that play at The Loft are good but the venue is extremely small and the music is WAY WAY TOO LOUD. People with hearing aids are significantly hurt. Also the venue is very warm, so not a good place to be on a warm day. Food is absolutely the worse, so don’t go for the food; enjoy the music if you can take the risk of going deaf!

Customer's reviews..
Browns Social House is always a good time. Our Server Cole was delightfully friendly, humorous and prompt. He should get a raise if he hasn’t already.I would consider Cole as an asset to Browns as he took great care of us and was very patient as I was meeting with a friend I hadn’t seen in 2 years. Thanks for the awesome service and keep up the great work.Browns is in a great location and you can always count on consistency when it comes to the food and drinks.Order the house whipped Oreo cheesecake served in a cute little mason jar, you will not regret it.
Sat down for some drinks and dinner. The food arrived on plates that were so banged up they would be replaced even at a greasy spoon breakfast joint. The manager was 100% unapologetic and thought it was fine. Absolutely horrified with the experience we had and certainly won’t be back. If there was an option for zero stars I’d pick that ?

Customer's reviews..
This Chipotle Fried Chicken Burger will forever be the best chicken burger I have ever had and will ever devour. It is honestly so amazing and I can't order anything else as an entrée since trying it years ago. The Sweet Chili Jumbo Wings are also the best wings I have ever had to date (my favorite wing flavor). The wings are perfectly battered and fried. I moved to another province and these are two of the foods I miss ordering out the most. I gave them 4 stars because the service received at this location was not amazing but it was okay.
Great beer, service slow but friendly
