Murchie's Tea & Coffee $
1110 Government St, Victoria - V8W 1Y2

Customer's reviews..
Great London fog, coconut latte was very nice but not a very wide selection for coffee and cheese cake could be a lot better as it is expected from them,Still a very nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee, the lady at the shop was very helpful and kind and helped me pick out two very nice coffee beans
We had lunch here one day and the fresh made sandwiches made of various ingredients are wonderful . Another morning we stopped for coffee & pastries and it was wonderful too. Prices are cheaper than many places. Fast service, although there's almost always a line to order. Indoor & outdoor seating

Customer's reviews..
I love healthy, savoury breakfasts with lots of veggies. I had the Tartine, which had amazing favours and textures, with incredibly fresh veggies. My husband and son had the half and half (half Bennie, half sleeping beauty pancakes and my younger son had the pancakes. Everything was perfect, and it is every time I come here. They do flavour, colour and texture combinations beautifully.
Lovely cafe in a gorgeous historic building. The food was fabulous and they were happy to adapt it for the vegans in our family. Their Machalicious drink was so intriguing that after one of us ordered it everyone else needed one too. Thoroughly recommended

Customer's reviews..
Pretty overpriced, but average for this type of place. The staff were friendly, the shop was aesthetically pleasing and the washrooms were very clean. Good place to sit for an afternoon coffee on a nice day.
I just moved to Victoria and everything about this cafe feels like a hug. I got super lost wandering the city today and was freaking out, on the verge of tears, near meltdown. I decided to come grab some food here and my mood was instantly shifted. The lovely angel who takes the orders, the friendly customers, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the DELICIOUS food. I will definitely become a regular.

I love to shop at this lovely little Mediterranean grocery shop. There are so many items here that I haven't seen anywhere else in Victoria. Prices are reasonable and selection is huge. The deli counter has some delicious offerings too!
There is no comparison to Fig. This is the only place that I will go for a long list of delicious things.Try the spanakopita, tabbouleh, olive bread that is out of this world, hummus, halva, olives... Oh gosh! Just try everything!!The owner is a wonderful man who never fails to make you feel welcome and he will advise you on the perfect ingredient for just about anything you may be making.I could go on and on. I love this place.Go get some fresh delicious food and have a picnic somewhere.

Such an awesome place! All the workers were so lovely and the drink + food I had was delicious (the Honey Iced Tea and the Happy Power Bowl, with chicken). Great atmosphere, groovy music, and very trendy! I'm from Calgary, but I am definitely coming back next time I'm in the city :)
I made a deposit of $1000 into my trading account and with the aid of Mrs Sandra Billy i was able to earn $12,400 in just one week. Don't miss out to contact her now that the stock market is moving and highly profitable Email: [email protected] WhatsApp: +15128931587

We had a wonderful first experience at this coffee shop. Doug is thoughtful and caring. We had an error on our order (likely our fault!) and he made sure we had everything we needed and sent us home with a treat. Thank you!
Doug is an amazing man to deal with for Catering services. We use Ponchos at most of our work events/ meetings and he personally delivers the food each and every time. So thoughtful and always delicious!

White Heather Tea Room $$
1885 Oak Bay Ave, Victoria - V8R 1C6
Cuisines: Tea Rooms Coffee & Tea
Customer's reviews..
The food and drink was fine. The server was dead wood- no personality and pretty much rude. She did not check our vaccination status and ID at the door. After we sat down I asked her again if she was checking the health records of people in the restaurant. She said, " I am too busy". Eventually, she reluctantly checked our health status or we would have left. The place is boring- no festive decorations, no festive music. Just a boring, dull afternoon tea with no customer service. The server muttered and just appeared unhappy about being so busy- there were 4 other people in the restaurant. Wont be going back
Great service and extremely fresh sandwiches and baking. We go every time we come to Victoria and will continue to do so

Discovery Coffee $$

Customer's reviews..
Well the menu is listed on the window but not everything has prices, for example they have a list of teas, but how much is the tea, why am I searching for a price. And the price wont even be that because of a auto 12% tip. Tipping is fine, and most people tip, but shouldn't it be a choice. I'm already being taxed for my purchases, I should at least see if the tea that I cant find the price to is even worth tipping. ( also to whoever's reading this.. good luck finding a menu online...)Look Prices are made up. So here is my caveman thought; Instead of forcing customers to pay an extra dollar, on an already marked up product, so you can give your employee a dollar, just raise the price a dollar and then give your employee that dollar when they sell said item. Boom, now they have incentive, may try and sell those item, and make good drink, so customer come back , and to maybe write prices on signs when they have some down time, and then tips on top of that, so when I buy a presumably $5 london fog, i can feel happy that I tipped, that I am nice and did a nice thing... and not feel robbed as the gratuity fairy rips money from my hand after spending $5 on a tea bag..Idk , im not a doctor. Coffee's good tho..
Fresh ground coffee beans available custom ground for your brewing needs. One of my favorite coffee spots in town. They also sell some of the best donuts!

Discovery Coffee $
281 Menzies St, Victoria - V8V 2G6

Customer's reviews..
Went for coffee and donuts. The donuts are a bit dense and don’t have much flavour. Coffee is decent but a bit acidic. The service was mediocre, a bit brusk and not very friendly. Also, charging a 12% gratuity (defined as “something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service”) up front seems a bit much.
The Assistant Manager of this place is incredibly bubbly and friendly. Excellent service from her to solve my almond milk splitting in the coffee problem and affecting the taste. Previously, her colleague had not been so friendly or helpful, even advising me, 'we normally charge' for heating up milk, rather than correct the problem. Delicious donuts too!

Great staff, lovely owners. Well made drinks. Love that the bakery items are from Lonetree, a local bake shop. A comfy atmosphere if you choose to stay in and if you'd prefer to take your drink to go there are two playgrounds within minutes. Waking paths, and swimming area across the street. A lovely little Victorian run business.

Customer's reviews..
The iced tea and the Owen Sandwich were really great, tasteful and excellent quality for the price paid! A really nice place to eat, or take away!
The food here is great. I've eaten many things off the menu and there is not one loser in the bunch. The service...the people are kind, hard working, and some greet you with a smile and even remember your name but there have been errors in my orders numerous times. From missing the protein I ordered to no dressing on the feature salad, to not submitting my order to the kitchen 2Xs. I order take out so this is an issue. In one instance I called in and was told my order would take 10 to 15 minutes when I arrived my order had not been submitted and in that instance my order took 40 minutes to process other people who came in after I arrived to pick up were eating before I even received my order. Rather than a macro bowl My order was a salad with 2 poached eggs. Each person on the team blamed the other and one blamed me.There have been 5 incidents now in a total of 10 orders thats within the last 2 months.I encourage picnic too to look at their work flows, how they communicate with one another and suggest the following phrase: how can we put this right for you?I encourage customers to check their orders :)cheers.

Eh, hello, possibly the greatest breakfast bagel I've ever tasted! Good job Fernwood.
Beautiful, modern interior. The staff are extremely friendly and are very welcoming. I love that they put my drink straight into my to-go mug and I also love that they charge slightly extra for take out — reducing trash, I love it! My latte was well-made and I’m excited to be working in the area so I can stop by more regularly.Edited to add: they can do any of their sandwiches on gluten free bread and their lemon lentil soup is gluten free and delicious!

Customer's reviews..
The most awful coffee I ever taste!!! We ordered a cafe late and a cortado. Both of them was burnt and the coffee beans was low quality. Do not waste your money and time here. We couldn't even drink our orders more than first draft.
I walked in purely because of the name: Bubbe is Yiddish for Grandma and Rose was my Grandma!! The peach muffin was extraordinary as was the banana chocolate pecan. I’m from NYC and access to amazing bakeries. Bubby Rose’s surpassed all of them. Come to the Big Apple !!!We loved visiting your outstanding capital????

Customer's reviews..
Very rude and confrontational owner. I recommend staying well clear of this place. They had a decent menu, but the atmosphere leaves a sour taste in your mouth. I left this place really disturbed after witnessing and experiencing the owner be nasty and hostile to more than one person. I would have thought maybe she was just having a bad day, but I notice there are other reviews saying the same thing about this grumpy owner, she must behave this way alot. I will never go there again.
I had cranberry chicken panini. It came with coleslaw, generous portion and very tasty. The owner brought food and coffee to the patio. Very friendly and good service. Bonus!! Dog friendly place. I can not wait to go back to this place!

Saltchuck Pie Company $

Customer's reviews..
Great service and great food. Plus they have Vegemite. How awesome.
Saltchuck recently catered my wedding with 200 vegaterian pies! They were delivered with there own warming oven which kept them warm all night for snacking. The pies themselves were fantastic! The crust was crisp and flaky. The fillings we chose were fantastic. A personal favorite was there curried lentil pie. Saltchuck was also so easy to work with! They were easy to contact, and were very accommodating when we had to postpone our initial wedding date due to covid allowing us to just move our catering plans till the next wedding date. Another fantastic touch, is when we were deciding which pies we wanted, they provided 8 complimentary testing options for us to choose from. We also recieved so many compliments from our guests and have asked them to leave other reviews. All in all a 5/5 doesn't describe how great our experience was at Saltchuck!

McDonald's $

Cuisines: Fast Food Burgers Coffee & Tea
Customer's reviews..
Like any other McDonald's the food and drinks are okay. Great location if you wanna stop by and walk around. Also, when available sitting area is spacious
The food is consistent at every McDonald's but there is large crowd of people at the window with a lot of music blaring away. I have a 25 decibel hearing loss in both ears and the racket is deafening. It was also a lineup of cars blocking traffic. Avoid the place at night if you value your hearing. I will not return and as a delivery driver I will have to avoid this location.

The Teahouse at Abkhazi Garden $$
1964 Fairfield Rd, Victoria - V8S 1H2
Cuisines: Tea Rooms Coffee & Tea Venues & Event Spaces
Customer's reviews..
The teahouse was exceptional with outstanding food, presentation and service plus the staff accommodated my party without reservations. The room where tea is served is lovely and showcased a number of paintings.A larger selection of BC artisan products would have been appreciated in the rather sparse gift store. The gardens themselves are interesting especially how the Prince and Princess incorporated the natural existing landscape but I think the real show is probably in the spring when the rhodos and azaleas are in bloom.
We stopped here as a shore excursion during our cruise. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. The food was pretty tasty. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the egg salad on rye (I’ve always had rye on my do not eat list). There was a little bit of disorganization and chaos, but that didn’t take away from the experience too much. I would love to go back again sometime!

McDonald's $$
2445 Millstream Rd, Victoria - V9B 3R5
Cuisines: Fast Food Burgers Coffee & Tea
Customer's reviews..
Rarely do we eat at McDonalds and made the mistake of doing so today. This location is lacking basic customer service skills and effective management. Yes, I understand “it’s McDonalds, what do we expect”. Well, we expect straws and ketchup in our bag and maybe a napkin or two. You can do better!
Well prepared food (some locations just throw sandwiches together, but these look appetizing!), fast considering how busy they are, and friendly staff. The board that tells you what orders are being served/prepared could be more precise because my order was ready 5 minutes after my number disappeared, but aside from that, and no public restroom (it's downtown with lots of vagrants nearby) it's a great location!

Koffi is a corner stone and hub of Haultain. The staff and Michael (the owner) know your name, and make the whole Koffi experience personal and fabulous! Michael is extremely generous, and is always giving to the community (and the local pets ) in one way or another. Haultain corners would not be the same without this fabulous community coffee shop!

Best beans south of the Malahat
Aside from very mediocre and overprice coffee, this place actively employs a race-based hiring policy. Hiring priority is based on a skin color metric when they openly brag about. I would be disqualified from employment based on my gender, skin color, and orientation.
